		MICROTUNNELING One of the activities of JSC DCM-Montaza is installation of underground utilities with the trenchless method (microtunneling). With "Wirth Soltau GmbH" microtunneling machine RVS 80 our company has a possibility to install pipelines at the depth of 6 m: * with jacking method it is possible to install special jacking pipes DN 150... 300, which are designed for the sewer systems (polymerconcrete, ceramic, concrete), into the tunnel, as well as usual steel pipes with OD to 420 mm for other types of utility systems; * install pipelines sliplining roll plastic pipes with diameter up to 250 mm for water mains; * slipline different cables and anchor bolts with diameter up to 160 mm max into the tunnel. Total expenses using trenchless technology are 1,5 times less than using open cut method. Microtunneling is widely used: -- in the cities where use of the open cut method may cause great inconveniences, additional expenses for resurfacing and sometimes is impossible or unacceptable (streets with intensive traffic, parks, gardens and territories with architectural monuments); -- in uninhabited places for the installation of utility systems under railways and highways.
